MAVRI Research-Oriented Medical Residency

MAVRI Research-Oriented Medical Residency

A new residency program that includes two full years of basic or translational research in academic labs. Participants will receive mentoring and training in new technologies, alongside networking opportunities. This program is pivotal in creating a new career path for physician-scientists from residency onward. The program is conducted in collaboration with the Israel Medical Association (IMA).

MAVRI Physician-Researcher Joint Appointments (University/Hospital)

Led by the PBC, this track offers physician-scientists appointed jointly by a medical center and a university a three-year research grant (with the option of a two-year extension), to support the establishment of a research lab and the purchasing of equipment. Grants will be offered to physicians working in medical centers who have proven research skills and are interested in pursuing high-quality academic research. Salaries will be paid by the medical center and the university in a 50/50 split.
